Canon printers count the number of head cleanings and pages printed during use. Based on this, they estimate the filling of the waste ink container and it is often not physically full. YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORRY IF THE RESET FAILS

Enter the first 4 characters of the key that failed the reset
and press the generate new key button.

To put the printer into service mode, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off your Canon printer
      Press and hold the Canon printer’s STOP button
      Press and hold the printer’s POWER button
      (Wait a moment for the printer to turn on)
      Release the STOP key but keep the POWER key pressed
      Now (while holding the POWER button) press and release the STOP button 5 times

      After 5 presses and release STOP,  also release the POWER button after a while

  2. NOTE: Printer series:
    G, MB, TR, TS, – press “STOP” 5 times
    MG – press “STOP” 6 times
    MP – press “STOP” 2 times

NOTE: IN ORDER TO CANCEL THE ERROR, CANON PRINTER:

It must be put into service mode – without it you will not reset the counter
Must not have errors other than 1700 or 5B00 – Ink pads are reaching the end of their service life
In service mode, the GREEN LED should be on continuously.


Don’t buy a key if:

Your printer is not in the list of supported models
After entering the printer into service mode, the green or orange LED flashes – you must first remove other errors (unprinted document, missing cartridge, unrecognized cartridge, etc.).
you cannot put the printer into service mode – putting the printer into “service mode” by pressing the “STOP” button a different number of times than specified in the description will not allow the reset to be performed. This is a programming mode in which resetting is not possible.
