The Epson EP-808A is a widely used Epson printer. Like many Epson devices, it can stop printing when the internal waste ink counter reaches its predefined limit.

The Epson EP-808A tracks waste ink with an internal counter. Because it is an estimate (not a physical sensor), it may trigger before the pads are actually full.

Why Does the Epson EP-808A Show ‘Service Required’?

Most Epson EP-808A waste ink counter locks are solved by a software counter reset. Wic Reset Connect provides a straightforward procedure.

Three Steps to Restore Epson EP-808A Printing

  1. Step 1: Use a Windows PC (7–11) with Internet access. Connect Epson EP-808A via USB (Wi-Fi reset is not supported).
  2. Step 2: Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and confirm Epson EP-808A is detected.
  3. Step 3: Use the key to reset the counter, wait for completion, then restart Epson EP-808A to finalize.
