Epson RX640 Waste Ink Counter Reset
If your Epson RX640 suddenly refuses to print and shows a maintenance warning, it is often caused by the waste ink (ink pad) counter threshold.
The Epson RX640 tracks waste ink with an internal counter. Because it is an estimate (not a physical sensor), it may trigger before the pads are actually full.
Why the Epson RX640 Stops Printing (Waste Counter Limit)
Most Epson RX640 waste ink counter locks are solved by a software counter reset. Wic Reset Connect provides a straightforward procedure.
How the Error Appears
- ‘Service Required’ / service life message in driver or utility
- Maintenance/support code (varies by model/driver)
- Printing stops after cleaning cycles
