Canon TS3470 Ink Absorber Full Reset
The “Ink Absorber Full” / service required message on Canon TS3470 is common after many cleaning cycles. In most cases, a counter reset restores printing.
During head cleaning, surplus ink is routed to internal absorber pads. Canon TS3470 monitors this via a counter and can lock printing at a threshold.
This page is prepared for Canon TS3470. Service mode instructions are shown only when a matching series procedure is known.
How to Enter Service Mode on Canon TS3470
If your Canon TS3470 supports service mode reset, follow the steps below before performing the counter reset.
- Turn the printer OFF.
- Press and hold Stop/Reset.
- While holding Stop/Reset, press and hold Power.
- Release Stop/Reset (keep holding Power).
- Press Stop/Reset 5 times.
- Release Power — the printer should enter service mode.
If it doesn’t work, repeat the sequence carefully. The press count depends on the series.
Perform the Waste Ink Counter Reset
Completing the reset clears the internal ink absorber counter stored in printer memory and restores normal operation.
Important Notes
Treat the reset as a maintenance step. If your printer has extremely high usage, consider cleaning/replacing absorber pads to avoid overflow.
Need a reset solution?
If your model does not show a service mode section, it means no matching procedure was found for its series.
If It Doesn’t Work
- Power-cycle the printer and try again.
- Use the correct Stop/Reset press count for your series.
- Close other Canon printer utilities while resetting.
- Repeat the service mode steps carefully (timing matters).
- Try a different USB cable/port if using PC software.
