Canon MP560 Ink Absorber Full Reset

How to Reset Ink Absorber on Canon MP560

Canon MP560 Ink Absorber Full Reset

Canon MP560 can lock printing when the waste ink (ink absorber) counter hits a predefined threshold. This guide explains how to reset it.

During head cleaning, surplus ink is routed to internal absorber pads. Canon MP560 monitors this via a counter and can lock printing at a threshold.

This page is prepared for Canon MP560. Service mode instructions are shown only when a matching series procedure is known.

What You May Notice

  • ‘Ink Absorber Full’ / ‘Service Required’ message
  • Support/service code (varies by series)
  • Printing blocked after cleaning cycles
  • Reset required to continue printing

Reset the Ink Absorber Counter

Completing the reset clears the internal ink absorber counter stored in printer memory and restores normal operation.

Before You Continue

Resetting the counter does not physically clean the absorber pads. For heavy usage, pads may eventually need cleaning or replacement.
