Canon MG3650 Ink Absorber Full Reset
When Canon MG3650 triggers an ink absorber full condition, the printer may block printing as a protective measure. The solution is typically a waste ink counter reset.
During head cleaning, surplus ink is routed to internal absorber pads. Canon MG3650 monitors this via a counter and can lock printing at a threshold.
This page is prepared for Canon MG3650. Service mode instructions are shown only when a matching series procedure is known.
Typical Signs
- ‘Ink Absorber Full’ / ‘Service Required’ message
- Support/service code (varies by series)
- Printing blocked after cleaning cycles
- Reset required to continue printing
How to Enter Service Mode on Canon MG3650
To access maintenance functions, Canon MG3650 may need to be placed in service mode first.
- Turn the printer OFF.
- Press and hold Stop/Reset.
- While holding Stop/Reset, press and hold Power.
- Release Stop/Reset (keep holding Power).
- Press Stop/Reset 6 times.
- Release Power — the printer should enter service mode.
If it doesn’t work, repeat the sequence carefully. The press count depends on the series.
Finalize the Reset and Restore Printing
After service mode is enabled (if required), the waste ink counter can be reset using a supported reset procedure/software.
Warnings
Resetting the counter does not physically clean the absorber pads. For heavy usage, pads may eventually need cleaning or replacement.
