Canon MB2360 Ink Absorber Full Reset

MB2360 Waste Ink Counter Reset (Canon Printers)

Canon MB2360 Ink Absorber Full Reset

Canon MB2360 can lock printing when the waste ink (ink absorber) counter hits a predefined threshold. This guide explains how to reset it.

Ink absorber pads store waste ink during normal operation. Canon firmware tracks this using a software counter and may stop printing when it reaches the limit.

This page is prepared for Canon MB2360. Service mode instructions are shown only when a matching series procedure is known.

What You May Notice

  • ‘Ink Absorber Full’ / ‘Service Required’ message
  • Support/service code (varies by series)
  • Printing blocked after cleaning cycles
  • Reset required to continue printing

Perform the Waste Ink Counter Reset

Once the counter is cleared, Canon MB2360 should exit the locked state and printing should resume normally.

Important Notes

Resetting the counter does not physically clean the absorber pads. For heavy usage, pads may eventually need cleaning or replacement.

Need a reset solution?

If your model does not show a service mode section, it means no matching procedure was found for its series.

Common Fixes

  • Use the correct Stop/Reset press count for your series.
  • Repeat the service mode steps carefully (timing matters).
  • Close other Canon printer utilities while resetting.
  • Try a different USB cable/port if using PC software.
  • Power-cycle the printer and try again.

Usually a few minutes once the correct steps are followed.
Does reset clean the absorber pads?

How many times should I press Stop/Reset?
It depends on the series. Many use 5 presses; PRO/imagePROGRAF/MG use 6 in this generator.
Does every Canon model need service mode?
No. The generator shows service mode steps only when the series procedure is known.
