Canon G6010 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon G6010 can lock printing when the waste ink (ink absorber) counter hits a predefined threshold. This guide explains how to reset it.
During head cleaning, surplus ink is routed to internal absorber pads. Canon G6010 monitors this via a counter and can lock printing at a threshold.
This page is prepared for Canon G6010. Service mode instructions are shown only when a matching series procedure is known.
How the Error Appears
- ‘Ink Absorber Full’ / ‘Service Required’ message
- Support/service code (varies by series)
- Printing blocked after cleaning cycles
- Reset required to continue printing
How to Enter Service Mode on Canon G6010
If your Canon G6010 supports service mode reset, follow the steps below before performing the counter reset.
- Turn the printer OFF.
- Press and hold Stop/Reset.
- While holding Stop/Reset, press and hold Power.
- Release Stop/Reset (keep holding Power).
- Press Stop/Reset 5 times.
- Release Power — the printer should enter service mode.

Finalize the Reset and Restore Printing
