Epson ET-M2120 Waste Ink Counter Reset
When the Epson ET-M2120 reaches its maintenance threshold, Epson firmware may block printing as a safeguard. In most cases, this is resolved with a counter reset.
During head cleaning and maintenance cycles, excess ink is routed to internal absorber pads. The Epson ET-M2120 uses a software counter to estimate pad saturation and locks printing at a set threshold.

Three Steps to Restore Epson ET-M2120 Printing
- Step 1: Use a Windows PC (7–11) with Internet access. Connect Epson ET-M2120 via USB (Wi-Fi reset is not supported).
- Step 2: Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and confirm Epson ET-M2120 is detected.
- Step 3: Paste the reset key, click Reset, and after completion power-cycle Epson ET-M2120.
Most Epson ET-M2120 waste counter resets finish in ~1–2 minutes.
If the Printer Is Not Detected
- Try another USB cable (some cables are charge-only).
- Run the app as Administrator.
- Temporarily disable VPN/proxy if validation fails.
- Restart printer and PC, then try again.
- Close Epson Status Monitor or other printer utilities.
